A CSR Venture: Wind Power Plants

SPFL's management has decided to diversify its activities in wind power as a part of its social responsibility and environment consciousness. Last year, the company had installed a 1.25 MW wind turbine generator in Gujarat and recently on 31st March 2011, SPFL commissioned its 2nd wind turbine generator in Maharashtra with further plans to expand its scale of operations in this field.

Forward Integration

Furthering the objective of expansion and diversification, the company is planning for forward integration into knitting and thread manufacturing. Hence, along with SPFL’s continuous expansion in the product range, with the focus on providing value added products, the management is strongly considering forward integration in similar lines of activities.
