Sarla Performance Fibers – First Indian Company to manufacture Nylon 66 High Tenacity Yarn Highly Technical value added product currently manufactured only by few companies world wide now being produced in India

Sarla Performance Fibers, a 100% EOU engaged in the manufacturing of high value added nylon and polyester yarn and threads and enjoying strong customer relationships with renowned brands across the Americas, Europe and Asia, has begun manufacture of Nylon 66 high tenacity yarn.
Nylon 66 high tenacity and lower shrinkage yarn product is a niche and specialized offering. High end users include parachutes, car air bags, specialized sewing applications in automotive, shoes, leather, Industrial filters, hoses etc.
Commenting on the successful completion and inauguration, Mr. Krishna Jhunjhunwala, Managing Director of Sarla Performance Fibers said, “We are delighted to announce that after a significant amount of time, effort and investment, Sarla has now begun the manufacture of Nylon 66 joining the elite league of few companies having similar offerings. This high tenacity and lower shrinkage product has strong demand for premium applications the world over.”
The transaction is being funded via a combination of $ 10 million debt while the remainder is from internal accruals. Expansion or setting up of new textile plants targeting the apparel industry in the US is becoming more attractive as a result of NAFTA & CAFTA agreements which make imports into the US extremely uncompetitive.
